She is committed to helping our planet and everyone on it thrive.
In her consulting practice, Tova leverages expertise in strategic planning and development to grow purpose-driven organizations with thriving people and strong financials. She focuses on aligning purpose and priorities, expanding business development and fundraising, improving performance, and building resiliency. Tova is skilled in strategically developing teams and organizations, people-centered leaders and processes, collaborative partnerships, and diverse, inclusive, and high-performing cultures.
Tova’s work in the nonprofit space has included advising chief officers of the Cooperative Impact Lab, a justice capacity-building incubator, on new program concept and fundraising strategy; leading launch of an inclusive organizational development process in Kehilla, a diverse justice-focused synagogue; and helping the Comer Family Foundation increase the impact of programs in climate research, harm reduction, education of youth of color, anti-bullying and LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
As Chief Operating Officer at Do Big Things, a digital strategy and advertising firm that helps candidates and causes for justice, Tova built a foundation for growth by developing leaders, operational effectiveness, healthy financials, and an inclusive and collaborative culture. Under Tova’s leadership, the company tripled digital ad sales, significantly increased profitability, and tripled in value.
Through her partnership with Gagen MacDonald, a leading firm on culture and business transformation, Tova improved performance for numerous Fortune 500 companies across industries and geographies. Clients included Merck, Pfizer, Amgen, Deloitte, GE, BD, and ConAgra Foods. Tova also led Gagen’s West Coast expansion, which exceeded its first-year revenue goal. Her team organized C-level discussion forums on CEO activism, organizational transitions, and diversity with participants from Google, Facebook, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Genentech, Charles Schwab, and Levi Strauss.
Tova earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism at the University of Oregon and Master of Science in Communication at Northwestern University. She lives in Oakland, California.
